About the event

Please join us this month for another Interactive Remote Demonstration (IRD) as David Bell demonstrates the process of constructing a segmented Bravery Bead Bowl. David will walk us through the steps in cutting, design, assembling the segments into rings, and then adding each ring as he builds the bowl. The last step of construction will be the making of the lid and then adding the handle. The end of the demonstration will be a brief discussion on the finish being applied to the completed turning.

Included in the demonstration will be a brief presentation of the Wedgie Sled(s) based on Jerry Bennett's concept, that can be built to produce your own segments on the table saw. Please visit Jerry Bennett's web site to watch the videos he has available for building segmented turnings.

An excellent segmented woodturner is Malcom Tibbetts who is also known as the Tahoe Turner.

To aid in the design and sizing of the segments, is a link to a Segment Calculator compliments of Woodturners Resource.

Other Resources, Woodturner Pro and Segmented Woodturners.
