Woodworkers have been ebonizing wood for many years, and over time have developed a number of methods for achieving this finish. Ebonizing is the basic process of turning the wood black.  There are a number of ways you can achieve this finish on your woodturning.  This month Paul Newton will discuss the process of ebonizing wood.  We will look at a number ways to ebonize wood, as well as well as tips on formulation and their application.   Wear gloves - it's gonna get messy!
